Amid escalating border disputes between Cambodia and Thailand, the leaked phone conversation ignited national outrage in Thailand, prompting an opposition party to call for Paetongtarn’s resignation and a party within her coalition to quit.

BANGKOK (Reuters) -Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra on Thursday apologised after a phone conversation between her and former Cambodian Prime Minster Hun Sen was leaked. Paetongtarn said the call was made from her personal phone and she did not know the conversation would be recorded and made public.
