A man is dead after being shot Tuesday night after a confrontation with Missouri Highway Patrol troopers in a city about 75 minutes from the Kansas City area.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Tuesday night their troopers were involved in a shooting Tuesday night in Sweet Springs, Mo.

A tropical getaway arrived in Kansas City, Kansas, with the opening Tuesday of the state's first Margaritaville Hotel and Resort.
