Kirsten Storms is opening up about what it was like to be temporarily replaced in her long-running “General Hospital” role. Storms, who has played Maxie on the historic soap opera since May 2005, was recently replaced temporarily by Nicole Paggi due to scheduling conflicts.

Earlier this month, a GH spokesperson confirmed that Paggi will temporarily replace Storms on the long-running series. Paggi will appear as Maxie on the show’s July 30 and August 13 episodes. Storms, for her part, will return during the week of August 18.

Storms has been playing Maxie Jones on the soap opera since 2005, but she’s taking a temporary hiatus from the role. In a Monday, July 7, Instagram video, Storms revealed that she’s moving to Nashville with her 11-year-old daughter, Harper.
