Narges Mohammadi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and the country’s most prominent human rights activist, has spent decades in and out jail, pushing for democratic change in Iran. But even she warned against the attacks on her country, telling the BBC this past week that “Democracy cannot come through violence and war.”

Iran is ready to consider diplomacy if Israel's attacks stop, the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said after a meeting with the E3 and the EU in Geneva Friday, according a statement posted on Iranian state media. In the meantime, Iran will continue to exercise its legitimate right to self-defense, Araghchi said.
